Its holder is Brett Masseran, an American who must love workouts. That's around 27.5 push-ups per minute. 27 push-ups is already too many for some of us, so to repeat it every minute for 8 hours, well...

On espère qu'il avait un peu de musique !

Record squat weight is 575 kg

It was Finn Jonas Rantanen who achieved this fine performance. But the equipment favors the squatter. The record without any equipment is 425.5kg (Ray Williams, American).

Soit tout de même plus d'une vache sur les épaules !



A Paris firefighter did 1972 pull-ups in 3 hours

Il s’appelle Mathieu Servant et est caporal de la brigade des sapeurs-pompiers de Paris. ça fait une moyenne de 10,9 tractions par minute. Ça ne parait pas énorme vu comme ça mais on vous assure que ça l'est. 11 tractions par minute, il faut suivre le rythme !


Bench press record is 500 kg

It hardly seems believable. But we have to qualify it, because this record, like others before it, was set while American Paul Meeker, the man who set it, was wearing an assistance jersey. And this kind of jersey is a great help to the wearer.

The record without a support jersey is 335 kg (held by Kirill Sarychev, a Russian).


The deadlift record is 500 kg

Eddie Hall, who established it in 2016, is one of the strongest men on the planet. He came 3rd in the World's Strongest Man. But when he lifted the 500kg off the ground, he came very close to his limit and passed out.


The men's bodyweight gain record is 10 hours, 10 minutes and 10 seconds.
